2nd Event RK Arena Team Sorting

Thanks to everyone that came out to ride at the 2nd sorting event of the winter series. We had approximately 30 riders, ran somewhere around 75+ runs. Unlike the 1st event, we had nearly double the qualified runs, and the times were a lot more competitive - riders and their horses are getting a whole lot better at reading cows.

Dave Lavell clearly came to ride, he ran 17 runs, not sure if he or his horse was more worn out, but he diffinitely carved out his position in the hardest working cowboy standings - he is the new leader chasing the trophy saddle.
Cody Lensman still has a huge lead in the Jackpot standings (he is just lucky), and Lawrence Nott picked up some ground on Cody by having 3 qualified runs which helped keep Cody in check.
Dana Buell jumped way out in front as the leader in the novice class - he had 5 qualified runs and earned an amazing 31 points - it pays to get a qualified time.
Mindy Blackford had a couple of nice runs, and her and her horse are starting to get this cattle thing dialed in.
Rick Mays and Chuck Clippinger came out for the first time this season, both riders had few nice runs strung together.
Dave and Randy Stewart, and Jeromy Griewe had several runs shaping up with qualified times - count on them in the winners circle soon.
Sami Bair and Scott/Debra Robinson also had good runs, with a qualified run in the novice classs.
Lou and Sondee Lima took the day off, found a babysitter and made it out for their first event of the winter series - good to have them in pen again.
New to the winners circle this week were: Darrin Hess (1st Place Jackpot), Lou Lima (1st Place Novice) and Kenny Lensman (2nd Place Novice).

Nice job to all the riders and their horses, there is no question about it, the run times are getting much faster and cows are not getting any easier.
