We plan to hold at least 2 to 3 sortings per month during Summer and Fall. Depending on weather conditions, we will run the sortings
either in the outdoor or indoor arena.
  Fall Team Sorting Details:
Events: 2 & 3 Person Team Sorting
Dates: September 12th, 19th (Ladies Extravaganza) and 26th (regular sorting); October 3rd, 17th and 31st. The Second Ladies Extravaganza will be held in November (date TBD), there will be two regular sortings scheduled in November as well.
Time: Fall Events: Practice Class Starts @ 2:00 PM.
Arenas: The Outdoor is 160' x 200', lighted; Sorting Pen is 70' wide x 70' deep, with a 12' gate opening, the Indoor Arena is 72' x 160' lighted, with the Sorting Pen 60' wide x 56' deep, with a 12' gate opening. If the weather is nice, we'll use the outdoor, if not, we will sort in the indoor.
Order of Classes: Practice (2 & 3 person teams), , 2-Person Open/Novice, 3-Person Beginner Class (An Open/Novice Rider can ride with 2 Beginner Riders, but Open Rider must stay at the gate and cannot cut cows from the heard), & 2-Person Jackpot
Entry Fees Per Rider: $3 Youth Practice, $5 Youth Beginner, Youth Open/Novice $5, Youth Jackpot $10, Adult Practice $5, Adult Open/Novice $10, Adult Jackpot $20.
Class Pay Back Dollars: Beginner Class 30% of total purse, Adult Open Novice 50% of total purse, Jackpot 60% of Total Purse.
Cattle: We use Correinta cattle, and generally run two heards of 9 head, numbered 0-7, and one (1) trash cow, depending on the number of riders that show up, we may use a 3rd heard. At some events we may also decided to increase the heard size to 10 head, numbered 0-8, with one (1) trash cow.

Special Event September 19th @ 4:00 PM
The "Ladies Cowgirl Extravaganza Sorting"
We're going to hold a ladies only sorting on September, 19th @ 4:00 PM. The event is being held to give all the ladies that normally don't get a chance to ride during regular scheduled sortings, and for all the ladies that do ride a the regular held events a chance to ride together and compete in an all Ladies sorting - the ladies will compete for prizes and money.
The feedback we got from everyone regarding which date in September worked the best for everyone, seemed to lean toward holding the event on the 19th. So we apologize to the riders that wanted to hold it on the 12th or the 26th, but those dates just couldn't be worked out.
The Ladies Only Cowgirl Extravaganza Sorting with the Cowboys taking registration, handling all the food preparation, and cheering on the Ladies should be a lot fun for both the Cowgirls and Cowboys. Here are the details:
1. Ladies only pay $20 per rider, and can run as many runs as they like (2 or 3 person teams), and riders may ride with whomever they want to run with. Basically, it's a practice class, and all the winners (fastest times, etc) will receive various gifts and prizes just to keep it competitive.
2. Additionally, will hold a 3-Person Ladies "Jackpot Draw Class" where all riders names will be entered and teams will be drawn. Cost is $10 per rider, and we'll payback 70% of total money. As an example, if we have 40 runs, the total payback dollars will be $720.00 Not a bad pay day for the winning teams. Riders can enter as many times as they like.
3. After the Ladies Jackpot Draw Class" is over, the Cowboys will also run a Draw Jackpot as well. Cost is $15 per rider, and will payback 70% of the total money. Riders can enter as many times as they like.
4. All the husbands, boyfriends, etc., that show up to support the Ladies and ride in the Men's Draw Jackpot, will receive gift cards for free runs at future RK Arena sortings.
So, come on out and support the Ladies Cowgirl Extravaganza, all the ladies certainly deserve their own day of competing and having a good time with everyone and it would be terrific if the cowboys supported our cowgirls. ______________________________________________________________________________________ RK ARENA GOLF SCRAMBLE has been cancelled for this year, but we'll put a golf outting together for next spring.
 Event: 4 Person Golf Scramble at Lakeland Golf Club in St. Paris Ohio, 43072 - 18 holes, golf cart and dinner included.
