[This Horse Sold March 8th 2009 @ $2,800]
Here is a real nice cowy gelding. An own son of "Popular ResortFigure" (2002 Superhorse winner @ World Show) and out of a proven money earner in NCHA "Jazzy Blaze". This gelding will make a solid cow horse and is packed full of some
great bloodlines - in the barn we call him "Skeeter".
Skeeter will turn 4 on March 27, 2009. Tod Boger started the colt correctly as a two year old and then was sent out for 4 months
of cutting training - the decision was not to continue with the cutting training. Colt was then returned the owner and turned out in the pasture
with several mares for about 7 months, We started riding him Feb 7th to bring him back into shape. Pictures below were taken Feb 17th -
we have as of today (Feb 20th) about 12 rides on him and he is coming back strong.
to get him conditioned, working to slow him down some, get him a bit more supple, get him rounded up a bit more, and we're working on
improving his stops. This horse loves to lope and has a great jog. We entered him in the Feb 14th Ranch Sorting here at the farm just to
see how he'd do in the sorting pen, didn't ask a lot of him, just kind of guided him around and let him work the cattle - Skeeter found his
way to into the money with a 1st in Novice and 1st in Jackpot.
All in all, this dude is a steal priced at only $2,800. The owner has about $10,000 in him. He is priced to sell, and he is has a lot of cow,
and would make a great performance cow horse for an intermediate rider. He is light in the bridle, and we don't think that he would be a
good fit for a novice rider; not because the horse doesn't have a good handle (he does), but a more experienced rider would keep him in
better frame and would keep him soft. Skeeters pedigree is below. For more info Email us at rob.lensman@gmail.com, or call us
