Jackson (Smokin At Red Lights) is a good minded, easy going solid cowy colt, on the top side out of Rio Starlight & Grays Starlight and Smoking Kitty Rio, Peppy SAN Badger and Doc's Starlight, Dam is solid proven cutting pony out of Poco blood, and this colt is strong, solid built, athletic and has a lot of crome.
He has not had much done yet as a 3 year old, a few sessions of round penning, walked in the pen riden bareback with no halter (and not much ground work to speak of), and never offered to buck or bow up, keeps his mind, looking for direction, and willing to learn and work without issues. This colt iseems to be quite, and ready to start a colt program. His sire has won NRHA, RWCH and team roping money. He's sister has been out here at RK ARENA sorting, and she eat cows up, and works quite well, with a lot of cow sense.
Smokin At Right Lights has been around and out with cattle in the pasture, and the cattle used to jump the fence and get in his pen and he would cut them right out of his pen, over the fence into their pasture, and stop working - he is cowie. I think that he would excel in many working cow horse events, but needs to be started. The owner would like to keep him if they could afford to, and they love the colt, but have to sell him for financial reasons.
